Tool #7 Digital Story Telling

This was without a doubt the most fun and interesting tool that i have done, I'm so exited and looking forward to making more videos. I feel that this will be a great way to teach a lesson, instead of me talking on front of the classroom I can just have the students watch a video with the same information that I would regularly give them but with music and fun pictures to capture their attention.

Tool #6 Wikis

I have used wikepidia several times to find out random facts about things that interest me but now i can see how me and the teachers in my school can use it to our benefits. For example when it comes to planing out activities such as a field day, open houses or trips that we may take during the school year. Using a wiki for this things will help us save time and be more organize with our planing.

Tool # 5 Tagging and Social Bookmarking

I join diigo and I was able to find several websites that I constantly going into. As you all know the traffic in Houston can be very stressful, i know that it's one of the things that we all dislike from time to time. www.simpleweather.com lets me know not just the weather but also were is the most traffic in the city.

I also could not help but to join a group call sites_for_education, it has a lot of cool ideas and discussion forums that were submitted by my fellow group members.

Tool #4 Cool Google Tools

I loved learning about google docs and reader. It's amazing how this two tools can help save time and reduce hassles when it comes to working online. Using Google docs i was able to plan out my mothers birth date more easily, i was able to find out which day and time was better for all of my family to attend. I think this tools are going to save both teachers and students more time when it comes to doing classwork or any other personal plans that they might have in their agenda.

Tool #3 Image Generators and Mashups

I register into bighuglabs.com, I had fun seeing all of the different things that I could do with pictures that I can find on the web or old family photos that I might want to play around with. I'm also very excited to use this new tool with my students in order to get their attention and to spark an interest in them to become more creative when their doing their school work.

Tools #2 Building Community and Comments

Building an online education community is an important source of communication with other people. Sharing ideas increases our knowledge and it gives teachers the opportunity to apply new ideas and knowledge in their classrooms.
